Hello all
Today in between having a closing on the Tannehill house & a few erands I
managed to get in a little birding . The pickings were slim on the Shorebird
area but I did manage to find a few good ones . Below is a list of migrants
today .
Wood Duck -- 12 at McCunes
Gadwall -- 1 Bells Lane -- real early date
Wild Turkey -- 6 -- 5 on Rt. 262 --in between Morris Mill Rd & Rt 250 W exits
& 1 behind DMV Rt. 11 -- peak fall count
D C Cormorant -- 1 Boy Scout Camp
Great Egret -- Smith's Swoope
Spotted Sandpiper -- 4 -- Bells Lane , 1 at Smith's , 1 at Quillen's 1& 1 at
Stuarts Draft STP -- total 7-- peak count
Solitary -- 1 at bells Lane & 1 at Quillen's
Lesser Yellowlegs -- 1 Bells Lane
Western Sandpiper -- 3 -- Bells Lane -- peak count
Least -- 6 Bells Lane
Black Tern -- 1 Stuarts Draft STP -- Good bird any time of year here
Olive - sided Flycatcher -- 1 Quillen's -- another good bird here
Not many migrants but a good selection of birds for just a few hours of birding
