I visited Appomattox Riverside Park in Dinwiddie Co. this morning for the first
time in 2 weeks. It was fairly birdy with the highlight being a male CANADA
WARBLER, not a bird I see around here and my first ever for the park. Other new
birds for the park this year included EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE, ACADIAN FLYCATCHER,
NORTHERN PARULA, AMERICAN REDSTART, BLACKPOLL WARBLER, BLACK-THROATED BLUE
WARBLER, SWAINSON'S THRUSH, SUMMER and SCARLET TANAGER and INDIGO BUNTING. A
count of 7 BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLERS was noteworthy. Full list submitted to
ebird can be seen at the following link. Good birding.
