Yesterday Buchanan County Bird Club member David Raines found a male American
Wigeon, a Horned Grebe, 2 Pied-billed Grebes, a male Ring-necked Duck and 15
Wood Ducks on the small Laurel Lake within the Breaks Interstate Park.
Later after crossing into Buchanan County he found a pair of Ring-necked Ducks
on the pond at the Willow Brook Country Club in the Breaks community. Except
for the Wood Ducks and the Pied-bills these birds are an unexpected treat for
our area.
