We found the Anhinga today at about 1030 AM in the first pond on the left after
turning into Richfood Rd. We found the bird from Old Richfood Rd (RT 1200, a
left turn from Richfood) about half way down the road. There are a few places
where you can look through the vegetation to see more of the pond. The bird
was partially obscured by vegetation as it sat low in a woody shrub (buttonbush
maybe?). We were able to see the head, neck, some of the body and occasionally
it would raise it's wings so we could get a good look at the bird.
