Hello everyone!
I guess I should title this "A trip to the National Fish Hatchery in Charles
City County Virginia" as I spent zero time at the lake.
A tip of my hat and a thank you to Barbara Houston for literally pointing me in
the right direction to see the Red-Eyed Vireo's. As I told her, I often hear
them but seldom can find them to ask for a photo. Today, from my photo
reviews, it looks like they gave me a few images but they did not linger for
long. I missed a bunch as I could hear and feel the rust in my arms breakup
from not shooting since the first of June. Good to be back out!
I am still editing images from Friday, so I'm guessing I will be posting photos
from Friday and today by Wednesday. I will send out another email with the
links to the new photos as soon as I'm done.
The diversity of birds were greater today than on my previous visit last
Friday. I saw the following birds today:
Canada Geese
Turkey Vulture
Black Vulture
Adult Bald Eagle
American Crow
Hummingbird
Male Belted Kingfisher
Red-Bellied Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
Immature Chipping Sparrow
Eastern Bluebird
Flycatcher
Eastern Kingbird
American Robin
Northern Mockingbird
Northern Cardinal
Female Summer Tanager
Red-Eyed Vireo
Best birding everyone!
