Yesterday (Friday), around 2:00, Dot Silsby I observed the Anhingas that had
recently been reported on listserve. They are still at 620 Blackwater Road
in Chesapeake. They're at a small pond that is located behind the 620
mailbox. We turned into a hidden dirt driveway beside the mailbox. The
driveway dead ends at about 50 yds, but offers a safe place to park off the
road which has little shoulder area. Dense vegetation makes it easy to be
unobtrusive in this rural neighborhood. Good opportunity to see these
unusual birds in Tidewater. Bonus for today was some very active Green
Herons at the pond.
