On Thanksgiving our bird highlights at Chinc Refuge were the the male Eur
Wigeon (1 pm, Swans Cove Pool), 2 Semipalmated Plovers (same), 9 Marbled
Godwits (same), 2 female Redheads (same), 4 Bald Eagles, 46 Tundra Swans (
most in Shoveler Pool), 1 Pine Warbler, 5 Brown-headed Nuthatch, Great
Horned Owl (5:10pm in tree during last straight leg of Wildlife Drive).
Woodland Trail walk was very quiet but we did see one Delmarva Fox
Squirrel. Feel free to post any of this to the listserve.

Friday morning, 11/29, 6-7:30 am: From 3650 Main St., we saw 2 Bald Eagles,
1 female Kingfisher, and V. Cooper spotted 3 Snow Geese flying overhead.
Sunday morning, 12/1, 6:15 am: Meet at the parking lot of Assateague NPS
Visitor Center (end of Beach Road) to look for Comet ISON, Northern Gannets
and a sunrise.
