Hello all
When I saw Jonh Irvine's report on the Baird's Sandpiper , Pat & I ran out
before the some what fading light to see if the bird was still there . Upon our
arrival we saw Tom Pendleton looking for the Sandpiper . After about 5 minutes
of looking Tom found the bird in the right corner of the pond near the road . A
life bird for all of us . Other birds seen are listed below . The Plover was
not there & all of the Killdeer were gone . The Blue -- winged Teal & Shoveler
were still there & just before leaving we had a Nighthawk show with 309 birds
flying South over the tree line & as Pat & I were going to the pond on Rt. 678
we had about 20 Nighthawks .We left the pond at 7:55 & the show lasted for
about 20 minutes .
