Birding this morning (8:30 - 10:00) at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax County was
great, providing sightings of:
---- Bald Eagle fishing with 6 Great Blue Heron
--- Pileated and Red-bellied Woodpeckers, as well as Northern Flickers
---- Pairs of Wood Ducks, Red-Breasted Merganzers, and Hooded Merganzers
---- Yellow-rumped warblers, Titmouses, Cardinals, Double-crested
Cormorants, American Coots, and some Scaup (not sure if they were Lesser or
Greater?)
----- Tree Swallows - nesting pairs
