I was a bit surprised to see two adult bald eagles circling low overhead
just north of the intersection of Braddock Road and Chain Bridge Road (Rt.
123) on Friday, October 10 at about 10:30 am. I didn't think the duck pond
at George Mason University would be big enough to draw them during
migration, but that is the closest body of water to the location, and they
were low enough that I assumed they had only recently taken flight. A real
treat during my morning errands.
