It just keeps getting better.
Yesterday my neighbor from three blocks over telephoned and left word that
a Baltimore Oriole had shown up in their back yard. (I was down at First
Landing SP and Fort Story photographing the Clark's Grebe.)
At 9:40 a.m. today I walked outside to an absolute gorgeous warm sunshiny
day. Robins were singing in next door neighbor's wild cherry trees and a
House Finch was tuning up in the Maple. Ah, Spring!.......Ok, not spring
but it sure was great to imagine winter was behind us, at least for a day.
I received permission to access neighbor's property and managed to take a
few photographs of the oriole. What a bright chap! Below is link to web
page with pictures. I now have someone to share all of those fresh oranges
our Florida relatives shipped up for Christmas.
Hey Ned, did you by chance send one of your orioles our way which I
requested several weeks ago?
