I rode my bike to work yesterday and today, and managed to wrack up 2 more
year birds: warbling vireo at Dyke and just south of National, and Baltimore
oriole just south of national. Also had a prothonotary at the south end of
Dyke, and parula near National. Forty species in all, without dawdling on my
commute.
A great crested has arrived in White Oaks Park this week, as well as a
migrating swamp sparrow. This morning's best bird was a "western" palm
warbler.
BTW, I hope someone will restore the archives; they are a valuable resource
that I have used several times.
