We recorded a bird call near the head of the Basin Trail along Accontink Bay
(Northern Virginia, DC area) early this morning, but didn't get a good look at
the singer. The recording is posted at

The song starts about 16 seconds in. Is this a Louisiana Waterthrush?
Also, for the past few weeks, we've been observing a Bald Eagle's nest from the
Ft. Belvoir side of Gunston Cove. The nest is located on the Pohick Bay
Regional Park/Gunston Hall side. Today we saw a mature Bald Eagle spiral down
from several hundred feet, dip its talons into the water, then climb
laboriously to the nest.
