[Va-bird] Bird walk at Stratton Woods Park, May 10, 2015 with Brown Thrasher as the top bird of the morning

Good morning,

Eleven people joined us for a bird walk at Stratton Woods Park (Fairfax County) 
this morning. The walk was sponsored by Reston Association, The Bird Feeder, 
and Audubon Society of Northern Virginia.

It was overcast, warm, and a bit on the humid side. Bird activity was on the 
low side. Here is our list:

Canada Goose
Mourning Dove
Chimney Swift
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker

Great Crested Flycatcher--very good looks as it moved from tree top to tree top
Red-eyed Vireo (H)
Blue Jay
American Crow
Carolina Chickadee

Carolina Wren (H)
American Robin
Gray Catbird--everywhere
Northern Mockingbird
Brown Thrasher--everyone got a good look

European Starling--nesting on the communications tower
Eastern Towhee
Song Sparrow
Northern Cardinal
Red-winged Blackbird (H)

Common Grackle
American Goldfinch
House Sparrow
