While the overcast skies and early light drizzle were discouraging
this a.m.., the birds apparently didn't mind as much as I did. The
following highlights were observed: at Jordan Point, a single
immature Blk-cr. Night Heron and a lone Forster's Tern; in Charles
City County, a late Yellow-throated Warbler; in eastern Henrico all
expected late Fall/Winter sparrows- Song, Savannah, White-crowned,
White-throated, Fox, Junco, Chipping, Field, Lincoln's, Swamp and the
surprise a Clay-colored. The Clay-colored was observed at Crewe's
Ditch, Malvern Hill walking the right perimeter of the transition
zone of the pond edge to vegetative growth. A photograph taken in
