I visited both the Hopewell and Charles City County areas this morning. While
general activity was low; a few birds were found scattered about. The gull
flock in Hopewell continues to grow with currently a conservative 3500+
Laughing Gulls present. In Hopewell both Cape May and Blackpoll Warblers were
found.
In Charles City County, the birds of the day were two (2) Hudsonian Godwits
with miscellaneous other shorebirds (Greater Yellowlegs, Lesser Yellowlegs,
Stilt Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper, Semi-Plover, etc.) present.
