VA Birders,

    I had 3 Dark-eyed Juncos in my yard Monday morning, and about 35
species at Fort C.F. Smith Park, here in Arlington Co., Monday afternoon.  Most
of
the birds at Ft. Smith were in or near the Bird Stream in the park, or
flying over it.  Highlights included an immature Bald Eagle, Red-shouldered and
Red-tailed Hawks, and a few Chimney Swifts flying overhead; Eastern Phoebes,
Red-eyed Vireo, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Gray Catbird, Yellow-rumped Warblers;
Chipping, Field, Song, and White-throated Sparrows, Dark-eyed Juncos, and
an immature Baltimore Oriole.

Good birding,
Val Kitchens
