An American Bittern found at the pond in Mt. Solon by Leonard Teuber and the
Augusta Bird Club on April 20 was still there on Sunday April 21. It was
observed at close range, and I saw it grab a fish in the rain. On a second
trip this PM with Tom and Suzanne Mizell we saw the Bittern fly back over the
pond and land very near us at the parking lot.
