Birded this weekend at a new preserve in Nelson
County, Fortune's Cove, located just north of
Lovingston near Mtn Cove Vineyards.
Highlight were Blue-winged Warbler in the wet meadow
by the parking lot. Up high on the ridge(its a long
steep hike) many cerulean, hooded, redstarts,
black&white, Indigo Bunting, Orchard Oriole. Counts
below are most likely underestimates, the hills were
alive!
