Hello all,

The cold front brought us a mini-fall out of birds for the backyard.

In addition to our regulars, such as Mourning Dove, Red-bellied and Downy Woodpeckers, Tufted Titmouse, Carolina Chickadee, White- breasted Nuthatch, Northern Cardinal we had:

EASTERN PHOEBE
BROWN CREEPER--first for the backyard this season
RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET
HERMIT THRUSH
another big group of AMERICAN ROBINS

BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER--a male. We had a female BLACK-THROATED BLUE here a couple of days ago.
SONG SPARROW--this specie has been a less frequent visitor for much of the summer/early fall.

Good birding to all,

Jay and Carol Hadlock
Herndon, VA (Fairfax County)
