About one week ago, a male Blue Grosbeak showed up at my research site. He did
some singing but mainly avoided the Tree Swallows. Today, a female showed up
and he is in heaven. He still isn't singing much, but I heard lots of the chik
calls, and the pair were flying around together and beginning what I assume is
courtship. I'm hoping they will nest in the area. I posted a few photos of
the happy couple on my Flickr site.
