Wings and Wine, Loudoun County VA

I had to make an early run to drop someone off at Dulles Airport yesterday
morning and rather than fight traffic all the way back home in the morning, I
decided to do a little birding and wine touring. Off to the Blue Ridge Center
for Environmental Stewardship I went. 25 bird morning. Not bad for August.
After birding all morning, I ate a picnic lunch at the center and then I
followed that up with a lovely wine tasting down the street at Breaux
Vineyards. I know they do combined horse-back riding and wine tours out there.
Maybe we need to start a Wings and Wine fieldtrip out there as well!

List follows:

Indigo Bunting
Eastern Kingbird
Baltimore OrioleGoldfinch
Carolina Chickadee (unless I was close enough to the overlap area out there.
Some of these birds seemed very Black-capped...)

Barn Swallow
Chimney Swift
Cardinal
BG Gnatcatcher
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
Black and White Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler

White-breasted Nuthatch
American Crow
Black-billed Cuckoo
