I heard the BLUE-WINGED WARBLER again today singing his "buzz-bee" song
between the 0.5 and 0.75 mile markers along the trail. This time, however,
I wasn't able locate him among the foliage. Other noticeable arrivals were
an ACADIAN FLYCATCHER singing from the swamp and a molting SUMMER TANAGER
seen along the marsh. A flyover OSPREY was great sight and the singing
ORCHARD ORIOLE put on a show. I heard an interesting song on the trail that
sounded like a drunk Robin. The "words" were slurred and bubbly and not
very musical like a Rose-breasted Grosbeak. Any thoughts are appreciated.
