This morning I spotted a Brown Creeper while kayaking around Harwoods Mill
reservoir. The Creeper was working the trunk of a bald cypress while a
Winter Wren worked the tree at the water line. Aerial performances were
provided by a Sharp-shinned Hawk, Red-shouldered Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, Osprey,
and two Turkey Vultures. Other notables were 5 Pied-billed Grebes and 12
Wood Ducks.
