Hi All -
I keep seeing Brown Thrasher listed among the Rare Bird Alert List. I'm new
to the world of birding so I have to ask, is a Brown Thrasher in our area
(NoVA) this time of year considered rare?
I have had one single Brown Thrasher visiting my backyard feeders for the
last month or so. I'm in Alexandria, VA in a small townhouse neighborhood
at the end of the road by iNova Mt Vernon hospital. Little Hunting Creek
backs our neighborhood, so I often see a good variety of birds! Lately a
pair of Red Tailed Hawks that turn in for the night in a tree back behind
my house which is very cool! Anyway, I can post pictures of my Brown
Thrasher friend once I get my Flickr account figured out!
