This afternoon around 5:00 we found the three Mississippi Kites (two after
second year
and one second year) that my good friend, Donald Sweig, described in the Old
Keene
Mill Road and Lee Chapel Road area of Burke, Va., plus a fourth - juvenile.
We first saw
three soaring adults from the Pohick Regional Library on Sydenstricker Road.
We followed
these to the parking lot of the Nativity Catholic Church on Old Keeke Mill
Road where we
saw the juvenile perched in a tree in the adjacent neighborhood beyond the
back of the
church.
