Anybody looking for Canvasbacks, there was a nice raft 200+ strong in the
James River off of the Riverside and Mariner's Museum Park areas of Newport
News around mid-day. Mixed in I found 3 Lesser Scaup; counted 86 Ruddy Ducks,
12 Horned Grebes, 119 Buffleheads, and 1 Bonaparte's Gull today on the River
also although there were atleast 10 Bonaparte's present in the area yesterday.
This is usually a reliable spot for Canvasbacks throughout the winter. Take
