I visited Charles City County late morning to early afternoon today and found a
large Canada Goose flock. Two Cackling (Richardson's) Geese and one lone Snow
Goose were observed mingling with the flock. Also observed was a single Vesper
Sparrow in one of the snowy fields. American Pipits and Horned Larks were
observed feeding along several road shoulders. Least Sandpipers joined
Killdeer feeding in several of the fields and the immature male Baltimore
Oriole continues along Shirley Plantation Road.
