Dear All
Just a quick note to say that the Black-headed Gull I reported two days ago
just cruised past our house on north Chincoteague. So it is hagning around and
anyone wanting to see it should look in the area I suggested on Main Street
probably north of Maddox Blvd.
Also of interest was a fine male Eurasian Wigeon on the NWR, Swan Cove on the
far side opposite the Vistors Centre. There was a female with it which looked
good for Eurasian Wigeon too but I couldn't see all the features as it was too
far to make out. All the obvious features, overall colouration, tertial
pattern, all looked good though.
Also Goldeneye, Long tailed Duck and lots of common diving ducks on Swan Cove.
