Best birds at Swan Cove this morning (Friday, 8/24) were a single Wilson's
Phalarope, three Marbled Godwits and four Least Terns. There were about 120
Great Egrets and over 100 Snowy Egrets, 80+ Semipalmated Plovers, four Little
Blue Herons, and gobs of Semipalmated Sandpipers. Short-billed Dowitchers,
both Yellowlegs, Willets, Skimmers, cormorants, etc. rounded out the very birdy
pool. Looking south to the saltwater side, there were three Oystercatchers and
a single drake Blue-winged Teal.
