Similar here in Oakton, Fairfax County at Flint
Hill. Flying ants, 4 nighthawks, a dozen swifts
at 6 PM.  Also saw lots of swifts around their
roosting chimney at Oakton Elementary School at
about 8 PM but didn't get over to count them.
Looked like a couple hundred.

A swarm of flying ants attracted a nice bunch
of birds over my yard early this evening,
including 2 common nighthawks, 6 chimney
swifts, 4 rough-winged swallows, and 4 barn
swallows.
