I spent this beautiful morning at City Point in Hopewell, mainly in hopes of
running across the Ash-throated Flycatcher found by Arun Bose on 1/11.
Unfortunately, no luck on that front but I did see both the NASHVILLE and PALM
WARBLERS that have been reported from there as recently as this past Sunday by
Andrew Rapp and the Blue Ridge Young Birder's Club. I first found the Nashville
early in the morning on Water Street directly across the street from the feral
cat feeding area. Later in the morning, I found both warblers where they were
seen on Sunday, in the edge of the woods behind the big house on the hill. No
flycatcher but still a fun morning. Ebird list below including record shots of
the warblers. Good birding.
