I went out for a brief walk on my parent's property on the western edge of
Clarke yesterday and to my surprise saw a flock of ~40 AMERICAN PIPITS in a
field. They were obliging enough to fly up to feed within 30 feet of me,
providing great looks in my scope. That was my first time seeing pipits on
their property (or anywhere nearby) after birding there for many years.
