At Claude Moore Park in Loudoun County, yesterday morning 01 October,
I found summer residents plus a few migrants. No winter birds there,
yet. The notable birds were:
Osprey - 1, circling the larger pond for a short time
Hummingbird sp. - couldn't locate where it landed
Common Raven - 1, flying westward towards Cascades Parkway, croaked
and showed the tail shape
Magnolia Warbler - 1, at the visitor center
and only one other Warbler sp., probably Pine, couldn't ID for sure.
