several other birders, is that the incident happened over the past weekend,
perhaps on Saturday. There's good news, though, in that one, if not two,
adult Bald Eagles have been spotted in the vicinity in recent days and the
two fledglings were observed just this morning, safely in a nearby tree,
squabbling over what appeared to be a rather hefty breakfast. The adjacent
Great Blue Heron/Double-breasted Cormorant rookery appears to be quite
intact and at capacity.
