Greetings to all:
At 0628 Hrs this morning as I was about to count the White-throated Sparrows
that comes into my backyard for the bird food that I throw out each morning
a Cooper's Hawk came in all of a sudden. It did not catch anything and then
jumped up into my Norway Spruce and stayed in it for over 30 minutes
allowing me to take plenty of pictures.
To start with the first pictures were taken through my backdoor and storm
door for the first 20 minutes when it moved to its third perch I decided to
go out side and see if I could get some better shots. It allowed me to walk
about 25 feet up the path to my shed and then get about another 4 feet
closer to it and only about 12 feet away. I took all of the pictures that I
needed and then backed away and returned to inside the house as it stay put.
I watched it until 0711 hrs when it took off after something up the hill
from my house.
