Just back from Craney Island, Portsmouth. Best birds were:
Rudy Ducks, a pair seen in the first impoundment. Male in full
breeding plumage. Gorgeous.
Marbled Godwit, seen on the north stretch of perimeter road, along
with several Willets and Yellowlegs and a Short- billed Dowitcher.
Also several dolphins.
Many peeps and other shorebirds that we couldn't identify.
The roads were muddy in places but passable with care.
Susan Hubbard, Margaret Mitchell, and Shirley Bolinaga
