Another week and spring is showing more signs. I heard and saw my first
singing migratory warblers this morning. Louisiana Waterthrush (at Crow's
nest) and Yellow Throated Warbler (at Aquia). Pretty songs. I have short
clips on my Flickr site for those that need a little jolt of spring.
Both Virginia and King Rails were making a racket in the marsh at Aquia
Landing. Both scooted across the road so I was able to get good views. I
have a few audio clips of both rails. The King has a deeper clack and the
Virginia is a bit quicker and breaks into the kedick kedick call.
