I went to Mason District Park late yesterday to see if I could locate pine
warblers along the trail that borders the dog park (BTW-found two PWs early
this week in the Mason Neck vicinity). Didn't have any success with
warblers, but did run into a rather sizeable flock of red-breasted
nuthatches, probably 8 or more birds. Unusual for this venue. Additionally,
phoebes were everywhere. Counted at least a dozen.
