My wife and I went up to Union Springs Dam (SW Rockingham Co.)  this evening,
8:30 - 9:00  PM,  and heard some whippoorwills  'willing'.     Saw some
very late, night-vision canada  geese  splashing down on the  impounded water
 also.
Earlier this week  in Rockingham Co.,  saw  purple martins,  chimney
swifts,  tree  swallows,  rough-winged swallows,  barn swallows,  but hardly
any flying  insects.
Also saw a blue-gray gnatcatcher up close.
