Seen this weekend in Halifax county along Huntington Creek( only there a few
hours) ; Belted Kingfisher, Male and Female Mallards, Winter Wren, Fox Sparrow,
Wood Peewee, and heard two Barred Owls calling while I was there during the
afternoon. In Dry Fork; still have the Red Crossbills, they come to the feeders
sporadically. Have seen Chipping Sparrow, Winter Wren, Red Breasted, and Brown
Headed Nuthatches are still around. Spotted a Red Tailed Hawk, Wood Peewee, (
saw two GBH flying over yesterday afternoon ),and saw a bird in the woods today
that may have been pine siskin, not sure, and still have White Throated
Sparrows and Juncos. Lots of singing going on today!!!
