All – over the weekend I located 2 Dunlins on a private pond here in Rockbridge
Co. While a Dunlin along the coast would be a “yawn” sighting, west of the
Blue Ridge they aren’t common. The Dunlins I located represent the 5th and 6th
records for the county and the first records since 1957. If you’re interested
in seeing photos of the Dunlins and other species from the area, I’ve posted
them on Flickr.
