Sixteen birders came out for the weekly Friends of Dyke Marsh walk held every
Sunday at 8 AM. I was joined by Ed Eder and Larry Cartwright who helped us to
find 61 species including some seen over near the Hunting Creek bridge. We
found the Black Terns that have been there for the past few days. A couple of
them perched not too far from shore allowing us good scope looks. There were
not too many other migrants other than the shorebirds over near the bridge, but
we did find many of the resident birds available. One highlight was a Green
Heron perched at the top of a tall sailboat mast in the marina.
