I live in New Kent and work in Hopewell and make the drive across the
James River each day. My office is on the river and I have been at this
job since March. I have seen a few eagles over the past months and
usually see ospreys daily. I noticed a chnage in the last couple days
of no osprey and more eagles. We had a gorgeous adult pair out in the
area today, they were quite active and moved around a bunch, but stayed
in the area. On the way home, there was an immature pair near the
bridge and I also saw the peregrine falcon flying around the bridge.
For the first time since I have been there I saw no osprey today.
