[Va-bird] Eastern Shore

Hey All....just got back from a whirlwind 2.5 day tour of the eastern shore. It was probably one of the best photo trips I have ever had over there. I will post pics and the full write up later, but I wanted to let you know a couple highlights.

- White Ibis at the Oyster landfill and surrounding area - 50+ in the landfill and they were in many yards along Seaside Road and at the boat landing area.
- Black Skimmers at Willis Wharf - Off the viewing platform, at least 100-150 of them
- Black Neck Stilts still along the roadway into Chincoteague.
- I did see a few Black Skimmers at Chincoteague, one nesting, the rest across from parking lot 1.

I have photos of most all of the nesting birds at Chincoteague....if you are over there soon, there is a nesting OysterCatcher right at the main parking lot.
