Hi all, A trip to the end of Magotha Road proved to be one of the birdier spots
I visited today. Perhaps with the strong NW winds, birds were inclined to
forage on the lee-side of the peninsula. The best bird was a single juvenile
Cave Swallow winging its way northward into the wind, but the list included
good numbers of Buffleheads, Common Loons, Forster's Terns along with lesser
numbers of Red-breasted Mergansers and Bonaparte's Gulls. Adding to the
diversity were a couple of Red-throated Loons, Horned Grebe and Surf Scoter. A
fly-by flock of Willets held a couple of Long-billed Dowitchers. CB
