Hello all
Yesterday during the rain I checked out the ponds thru out Augusta County
with little luck in finding large numbers of Waterfowl . I left my camera at
home on purpose because if I leave it behind I will usually find some thing
good . Well it panned out today by finding a Eared Grebe at the Stuarts
Draft Waste Water Treatment Plant this morning . As of 3 pm the bird was
still there but with the front passing , I think the bird will be gone by
morning . These birds are what I call one day wonders . Any way here is a
list of migrating Waterfowl found today . Getting to the Waste Water plant
-- I 64 to Exit 94 Go south on Rt. 340 to light at Rt. 340 & 635 -- turn
left at light & go past Target -- turn right on Rt. 639 ( Wayne Ave ) go 1 .
2 miles & turn left at first brick house on left . Follow paved lane to
plant & go into the fenced area stay to the right & follow to a small
parking area that over looks the waste pond . The bird has been hanging out
in the left corner closest to the road . I have asked permission for all but
during bussiness hours they close at 4 pm . Good luck .
