Hello all
I did an update on the Eurasian Green - winged Teal this afternoon & also I
talked to Mr. McCune about letting others come to see the bird . Mr. McCune
said that it would be alright for birders to come & take a look . Note you
will need a scope . Also the parking area at the house can only hold three
cars at a time . Getting there Take I 64 to exit 91 Go North onto Rt 608/
285 -- At light take a left onto Rt 250 west go under rail road bridge & go
to light & turn right onto Rt 608 north ( Longmeadow Rd. ) go thru 4 way
stop signs & when you come to a sharp curve turn right onto Kiddsville Rd.
Rt 796 -- on Kiddsville Rd. you will go about 1 . 5 miles & once on top of a
hill to your left there is a paved drive way lined with White Pine Trees & a
Black board fence . Once parked go to back of house to board fence & Good
luck . Please DO NOT block the driveway for this is a small cattle farm &
Do Not go in the lower field to try for a better look . They have a couple
of cows in this field who are very protective of their calfs .
