[Va-bird] FOS Winter Wren--western Albemarle; also an interesting sighting

Winter Wren about 5:20 PM today in my porch garden where I usually see  one 
every fall searching for aphids to eat.
 
Recently saw chickadees and titmice going to a squished black walnut on the 
 roadway--apparently they were eating the tiny broken pieces of walnut  
meat!!!!!   If anyone has seen these birds feeding on black walnuts,  please 
let me know.  Thanks!
