Today at Jamestown Island there was a nice mix of fall migrants and winter
arrivals. I saw my FOS Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and Yellow-rumped
Warblers. Red-headed Woodpeckers were particularly active foraging and
storing
acorns. An Osprey dropped a 12" catfish which came crashing through the
trees and landed about 15' from me. Needless to saw, I jumped just a little.
I was poised for a great picture, but a car came along and the Osprey would
not retrieve his catch.
